Water Street Cafe

Water Street Cafe is an upscale casual restaurant in Vancouver’s (pronounced “Vancoover) Gastown. It’s located right across the street from the world famous Gastown steam clock.

The restaurant bakes bread daily which it’s proudly served with every meal and the menu is a mix of West Coast and Italian dining with plenty of salads, seafood and pasta.

Dining at Water Street Cafe is a blend of old world classics and new favorites. A nice start to your main meal might include a classic Caesar salad, calamari, fresh Italian mozzarella with roma tomato and salsa or smoked B.C. salmon with red onion, capers, herb cream cheese and rye toast.

The main entrees include a host of classic pasta dishes like Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Ravioli, Fettuccini Alfredo, Potato Gnocchi as well as grilled filet of wild B.C. salmon and Peppered New York Steak.

Dining on the outdoor sidewalk café overlooking the cobbled stone streets of Gastown is a popular way to enjoy your meal.

You can watch people go by and it’s bit like a European bistro.

With more than 5,000 places to eat, Vancouver is considered one of the top places on the continent to have a meal out for both variety and quality.

If you're hungry for something other than Casual, here are a few other of Vancouver's best.
