Water Park and Playground

Waterpark and Playground Stanley Park Vancouver

The water park and playground at Stanley Park is a kid zone.

Once school’s out and the weather starts getting hot the water park and playground is over run with little ones enjoying summertime activity.

There are sprinklers here and things to climb on.

It used to be that the water park was filled with salt water from the ocean at high tide but now the park uses a fresh water supply because of health regulations. There’s also a pool here with a life guard.

The water park sprinklers are turned on from Victoria Day until Labour Day and are open from 11:30am until dusk.

There’s a concession stand here and washrooms and a grassy area where you can relax.

Across from the water park and playground is a landmark called Lumbermen’s Arch that’s been built from a huge tree.

A long time ago before Stanley Park was a park the First Nations People (Red Indians to you Europeans) would hold gatherings here.
