Plan to Visit Victoria

Our quick trip to visit Victoria was all but done.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat at some place familiar…we found a White Spot.

Between us we ordered a bacon double cheeseburger, a personal size pizza and shared a plate of dry ribs. Our meals were served to perfection.

Our self-paced spur of the moment day trip to Victoria was made without a lot of preparation but with a little more planning there are many options for you.

You may prefer to leave the driving to someone else.

It may be a good idea to contact the Victoria Info Centre for maps and information on Victoria Attractions.

They are a good source of information and are very enthusiastic about promoting their city they are also said to be the busiest tourist information centre in Canada.

One idea for you might be a where you take a tour from Vancouver to Victoria and back.

There are tours like the Royal Victoria Excursion and Whale Watch. Another idea is a tour to the world famous Butchart Gardens.

On the road again we headed back to the Schwartz Bay terminal for the ferry home to Vancouver.

Had we caught a later ferry we might have enjoyed a sunset trip back as it was though it was still very light out.

This time our ferry seemed like a rust bucket compared to the one we left on but it was still a smooth ride.

It was a long day but it was worth the trip. Even without much forethought it was a good day and we couldn't have planned a more glorious day or a better time to go on our day trip to Victoria.
