Ways to Travel from Vancouver to Seattle

From Vancouver to Seattle its 119 miles or 192 kilometers (that is Vancouver British Columbia and Seattle, Washington).

There are a number of ways to get there from here. It really depends on how much time you have to spend on the road traveling.

Car

Under ideal conditions if the traffic is moving smoothly and there isn't a really bad line up at the border it takes about three hours to drive from Vancouver to Seattle.

Bus

There are five scheduled buses that leave from the train and greyhound bus station in Vancouver. The trip is about 4-!/2 hours long .

Another bus option is to take the Quick Shuttle which you can board at the Vancouver airport, many downtown Vancouver hotels and the cruise ship terminal at Canada Place. A great thing about Quick Shuttle is that on most of the buses there's complimentary wireless internet.

Keep in mind that traveling by bus also means having to endure crossing the border and that may add some time to your trip.

Train

Taking the train is another great leave the driving to someone else option.

Amtrak offers passenger train service between Vancouver and Seattle and it's actually one of their most popular routes. The train leaves from the train and bus station in Vancouver twice a day.

When you are making your travel arrangements make sure to ask about tours, car rentals and hotel accommodations because they will often have packages.

Fly

Clearly the fastest and most direct way to get from Vancouver to Seattle is to fly. It only takes and hour and there are over a hundred flights going between the two cities every week.
