Local Vancouver Skiing

Some of the best local Vancouver skiing can be found at Cypress Mountain.

Getting to Cypress it takes less than 30 minutes from the majority of the downtown Vancouver hotels, and timeshares.

Local mountains have been a part of the city's outdoor activities for almost as long as we've been a city and now we are going to be sharing it with the whole world!

You can purchase day or evening passes as well as family packages that also include the use of the ski chair lift and access to the runs as well. Parking is usually good but because many people love to ski, doesn’t mean they know how to drive in the snow...

Where possible, try to get a shuttle up to the hills so you can spend your time in Vancouver skiing and doing all the other things to do and not worried about car rentals (damage deposits) and driving in the snow, or should I say worried about others driving in the snow because when it snows, the city usually comes to a grinding halt from a four inch dumping of snow.

Cheap Ski Vacations

It is possible to do a lot of BC skiing, and Vancouver skiing in particular cheaply but just keep in mind that it is an expensive sport unless you have all of your own equipment.

The costs also differ a little when you compare skiing vs. snowboarding.
