Save Money with Vancouver Rentals
For many people visiting the city Vancouver rentals are the way to go. The up-front cost of Vancouver vacation rental homes might seem more expensive than staying at a hotel although when you truly analyze it, getting a Vancouver rental can often save you money.
Since Vancouver is such a popular destination, hotels in Vancouver BC can be quite expensive. When families have kids old enough to need their own room, or if you are traveling with a group of friends, the cost of multiple hotel rooms can add up quickly. Add in the cost of three meals a day for each person, plus alcohol and snacks, and suddenly you’re spending a small fortune. With a Vancouver rental home or condo, on the other hand, you will have a full kitchen. Everyone can pitch in for groceries and assign different nights to cook dinner. A box of cereal, bread for toast, and butter will cost less than $15 and can feed six people for breakfast; whereas you would easily spend that per person at a hotel restaurant! A Vancouver condo rental or vacation home rental can save money in other ways as well. Many vacation homes include free internet, for which most hotels charge $10 - $20 per day. They also usually include DVD players, and often provide a library of free movies; for which hotels charge an average of $12 per movie. And, if you’d like to have a glass of wine with dinner that will easily cost $10 per glass at a restaurant; but you can buy a whole bottle for that at a local liquor store. Vancouver rentals often make the most sense for people who plan on going skiing or snowboarding at Whistler, Grouse, Cypress, or any one of Vancouver’s other ski resorts. Ski condo rentals often offer package deals; for example, rent the condo for a week and they’ll throw in free ski equipment rentals, free parking, or discount lift tickets. This alone can offset the cost of a lower nightly rate at a hotel. If you find a ski-in, ski-out condo, you can even return to the condo for lunch, instead of paying insane prices for resort cafeteria food. Not to mention, ski home rentals are often just more comfortable. In the evenings, after a day of sightseeing or skiing, you can return to your vacation home and spread out comfortably; instead of being on top of each other in a hotel room. If you are on a ski vacation but have a non-skier in the group, he or she will greatly appreciate not being locked up in a small hotel room all day. A lot of times rental homes will have fireplaces and sometimes even hot tubs, which just adds to the ambience of your perfect ski holiday. So, before you book your hotel factor in all the hidden costs for your family or group. Often, you will find that Vancouver rentals are not only more affordable, but will give you a comfortable, relaxed home base for your perfect vacation.
