Vancouver Condo Rental Trends

Vancouver condo rental trends are changing as more and more people move to the city for work and relaxation...unfortunately not as many who actually live here are able to afford to buy their own.

Vancouver Condo Rental

A lot of investors have been buying townhouses and condo/apartments over the last ten years as investment properties.

There is such a high demand of housing that the city canít keep up with the demand.

No matter which direction you look in Vancouver, youíll see tall construction cranes building condos and townhouses. While there are many people who buy them to live in themselves, many others buy them as an investment property and those suites are destined for the condo rental market

The Vancouver real estate market is very hot right now and they are also projecting and 8 Ė 11% growth annually over the coming years.

The cost of renting a condo in Vancouver will vary depending on the neighborhood they are located in. For example, if you are looking for a Vancouver condo to rent in the downtown (west-end) you can expect to pay at least $1000.00 per month, especially if you want to rent close to Stanley Park or English Bay. You can and should expect to see these prices rise as the city prepares for the 2010 Olympics and onward.

If you look outside of the city proper and are willing to live in the suburbs that are a 30 minute drive into downtown then the condo rental prices will be lower.

There are a number of local Vancouver condo rental newspapers, magazines and digests that list condos and townhouses that are for rent in Vancouver and the suburbs. There's also a number of rental property agencies that can do the work of finding one for you.

Also, a number of real estate agents manage rental condos, townhouses and houses that you can contact directly who will help you find the condo or home that is right for you and your needs.
