Vancouver Ambleside Park
Vancouver Ambleside Park is a great little treasure in West Vancouver (pronounced "Vancoover or Vankoover") its also one of the little known spots that only locals (that's us) go to and relax and watch the city and the world go by. This is a favorite dog walking park where "fido" can run and swim and play and make new friends. It's interesting to watch the cargo ships sail by on the way to the docks to pick up or drop off their load cargo destined for Asia pacific. Vancouver is the largest and busiest deep sea port on the west coast of the continent. These days in the late spring through mid September the Alaskan cruise ships also sail past and it’s a great sight to see, and take pictures of.
You don’t even have to pack a lunch you can dine on the food of the park’s concession booth, its cheap, usually fast and always tasty if you like fast food that is. Otherwise, you can walk a little ways and find a number of really nice local café and have a bite to eat there. Then take a nice slow walk back down to the beach area or sit there and watch the world go by. ...Return often for more exciting information on many more of Vancouver's best things to do, sights to see and local attractions.
