Top 10 Hotels in Vancouver BC
Our top 10 hotels in Vancouver BC list was one of the hardest pages to write because there are so many great downtown vancouver hotels to choose from and that doesn’t even include the Vancouver airport hotels or our favourite Vancouver Island hotel, the Empress Hotel Victoria!
Our List of the Best Hotels are:
Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver (First Place)
Fairmont Vancouver (Second Place)
The Fairmont Vancouver is a close second but won out over the third place Vancouver hotel because it isn’t actually in Vancouver (it’s located right in the Fairmont Vancouver Airport)
Fairmont Vancouver Airport (Third Place)
The Fairmont Vancouver Airport comes in third place and is great for the person who wants to visit Vancouver during a stop-over trip and is here for some Vancouver business meetings.
Four Seasons Vancouver (Fourth Place)
The Four Seasons Vancouver is almost a Vancouver landmark with a great location within walking distance (with your downtown Vancouver map in hand) to the Vancouver library and Vancouver museum and has excellent service and this is why it is on our top 10 hotels in Vancouver BC.
Sheraton Vancouver (Fifth Place)
The Sheraton Vancouver as well as the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre are both very nice hotels though they are both fairly pricey, the Sheraton Vancouver is the cheaper of the two and also very close to the Kettle of Fish restaurant where you can have some of the best seafood in Vancouver (the Kettle of Fish restaurant also made our top 10 places to eat in Vancouver).
Now that we’re halfway down our list of the top 10 hotels in Vancouver BC, I have to say that pretty much all the hotels in Vancouver are great and what it really comes down to is what are you are interested in and your choice of things to do in Vancouver during your vancouver vacations.
St. Regis Hotel (Sixth Place)
The newly renovated St. Regis Hotel is one of Vancouver’s oldest of the top 10 hotels in Vancouver BC. One of the best things about this hotel is that its only a few block from Canada Place where the cruise ships dock and a great place in the heart of the city and close to stores in Vancouver for lots of shopping too!
Granville Island Hotel (Seventh Place)
The Granville Island Hotel is one of the most relaxing and scenic accommodations Vancouver has to offer. Its located on the water within Granville Island itself and lots of artisan shops, places to dine and its also just a short stroll to the Granville Island Market and two of the best Vancouver theatres in the city. So you can go crazy shopping in downtown Vancouver and then return to a laid back environment to relax.
Blue Horizon Hotel Vancouver (Eight Place)
The Blue Horizon Hotel is right in downtown Vancouver close to many of the Vancouver malls and the Hudson’s Bay Company so it gets extra points if you’re really into shopping!
Listel Hotel (Ninth Place)
The Listel Hotel Vancouver is another great place to stay if you’re really into shopping. Some of the best places to go shopping in Vancouver are on Robson Street so the Listel Hotel gets extra marks on the top 10 hotels in Vancouver BC for you shop-a-holics!
Barclay Hotel (Tenth Place)
Last but certainly not last of our top 10 hotels in Vancouver BC is the Barclay Hotel is located right on Robson Street! So it also gets extra marks for shoppers and also because while it is close to downtown Vancouver, it is also close to Stanley Park so like the other hotels in Vancouver you get the best of both worlds, the buzz of the city and the peace and serenity from being surrounded by nature.
Our Honourary Mention
