Texans Love Vancouver!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Vancouver, and I will definitely never forget what a fantastic time we had! For our honeymoon, we wanted to go somewhere unique.
Being from Southern Texas, we were used to warm weather and the Gulf of Mexico, so we decided to go somewhere different. All of our friends went on cruises, or to Hawaii, and we wanted to be different.
We stayed at the Granville Island Hotel, and that was a great decision! The hotel was beautiful! Our room was a lot bigger than we planned on it being, and the beds were so comfortable. The Granville Island is very close to everything that we wanted to see and do.
When we first arrived, we were so overwhelmed. It was our first trip to Vancouver, and there was so much to see. On our first night, we ate at the Dockside Restaurant. It was absolutely delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
During our trip, we visited the Vancouver Aquarium. It was the best aquarium that I have ever been to. We saw so much marine life, it was amazing! We also went to Gastown and had so much fun. It was a really good place to people-watch. We also went in a lot of the many shops that were there. We loved it.
Some of our most memorable moments on our honeymoon were while we were eating. Vancouver has some of the best restaurants we had ever had. We splurged on a night out at the Blue Oyster Cafe.
While it was more expensive than what we're used to, the food was absolutely amazing. We love seafood, and this was definitely the place to get it.
We also went to the Memphis Blues Barbeque House. Since we are from Texas, we love barbecue, so we decided to see how this place compared to our Texas barbecue. We were amazed at how good it was!
Our honeymoon trip to Vancouver was amazing for us. We had the time of our life, and we would love to go back someday.
