Steamworks Restaurant

Steamworks is a popular restaurant located on the tip of Vancouver’s (pronounced “Vancoover”) historic Gastown that’s famous for the steam clock.

They brews their own beer here so the selection is pretty good anything from Steamworks own Lions Gate lager and seasonal ales like Frambozen which is a dark raspberry beer to other local and imported beers.

In the brew area you can watch the beer being made and they also have beer tastings in the afternoons.

Upstairs there are large windows and you’ll get a gorgeous view of the harbour and the mountains.

You can spend the whole evening at Steamworks playing pool, sitting at the bar in the pub, hanging out in the lounge or dining in the restaurant or on the outdoor patio.

On the menu for appetizers you’ll find typical snacks buffalo chicken wings and garlic fries. The entrees are west coast style fish and grilled meats. There’s also pasta, salads and personal pizzas and for dessert there’s tiramisu.

Steamworks is close to many Vancouver attractions like Canada Place and the Cruise Ship Terminal so you’ll find a lot of tourists here but it’s also a favorite among locals.

With more than 5,000 places to eat, Vancouver is considered one of the top places on the continent to have a meal out for both variety and quality.
