Romantic Vancouver Vacation
All the elements for romance are waiting for you on a romantic Vancouver vacation.
Romantic vacation things to do in Vancouver:...sparkling ocean views, beach walks, carriage rides, mountain top vistas, skiing, fine dining and luxury accommodations.
Vancouver has many spacious and beautifully landscaped parks and gardens.(this is Queen Elizabeth Park)
Vancouver parks are perfect for romantic walks through forested paths, ornamental flower beds and pathways around secluded ponds.
Romance is definitely in the air at Stanley Park.
A nice peaceful place to wander around holding hands or to snuggle on a park bench is Lost Lagoon Stanley Park near the Georgia Street entrance to the park. This secluded little spot is a nesting ground for many birds including swan, blue heron and Canada geese.
A horse drawn carriage ride through Stanley Park is another romantic thing to do. Sit back, relax and take in the scenery or be rocked and lulled to sleep by the sway of the carriage and the sound of the horses hooves. The carriage ride takes you through the Stanley Park rose garden and roses after all are the flower of love.
Another romantic and favorite activity that people in Vancouver like to do is to take a leisurely stroll around the Stanley Park seawall and watch the tide come in. One of the most romantic sights is to see elderly people walking along hand in hand.
A walk along the beach at sunset is very romantic and a great place to do that is along Jericho Beach where you can enjoy an amazing sunset or pack a gourmet meal for a sunset dinner.
Being out on the water especially in the evening with the city lights twinkling is the distance is one of the most romantic things to do.(this is Jericho Beach where you can enjoy an amazing sunset)
Rent a kayak for an evening paddle at Jericho Beach or Granville Island or have an operator take you on a guided tour.
A sunset dinner cruise is nice too.
You get the best of both worlds a delicious West Coast meal and an unbeatable view of the mountains and the skyline.
Take an evening ride on a ferry or better yet take a half day or daytrip on your romantic Vancouver vacation.
When you leave the ferry turn right on the first road and you'll come to a lagoon with a sandy beach…perfect for some romantic quiet time.
For an all day trip try Sechelt which is 45 minutes away by ferry from Horseshoe Bay. Instead of a sandy beach what you'll find here are beaches full of pebbles.
You can take a romantic walk along the beach and collect driftwood and look for stones in the shape of a heart.
Another romantic Vancouver vacation would be to take the ferry over to Victoria.
You can take the ferry to Victoria from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo and then drive down to Victoria about a two hour sailing and an hour and a half drive to downtown Victoria.
Another way to do it is to take the ferry from Tsawwassen. The sailing takes about an hour and a half to the Swartz Bay ferry on Vancouver Island and from there it's a 30 minute drive to Victoria.
Spend the day sight-seeing the attractions maybe have a little dinner and plan it so the trip back is in the evening.
Year around Vancouver makes a romantic vacation destination. For a romantic winter vacation February is a good time to plan to come.
Otherwise between May and September is the best time to come to be confident of good weather.
