Places to Visit in Canada

More than a day trip from Vancouver there are many popular places to visit in Canada.

Do like the locals do…when people from Vancouver want quick affordable vacations one of the things to do is to hop on a ferry from Vancouver and head over to Vancouver Island to visit Victoria Attractions.

Another option for you is to pick up a car rental in Vancouver or check the greyhound bus travel schedule and head about 31/2 hours north east to the Okanagan Valley for outdoor sports and recreational activities.

The Okanagan is known for its fruit orchards, world class wineries, golf, fishing and boating in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Two other little resort towns in our neighboring province Alberta are also popular destinations from Vancouver.

The Town of Banff and The Village of Lake Louise are nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains

The Rockies are a sightseeing paradise of mountain peaks, glaciers, natural springs, wildflowers and wildlife including beer, elk, deer and mountain goats.

Once you've made the effort to get to either Banff or Lake Louise you might as well see them both. It's only an hour and 15 minutes drive between the two of them.

Just like the great places to stay in Vancouver what you will find when you get there are world class services at the Banff Springs Hotel and the Fairmont Lake Louise Hotel.

As a bonus you are almost guaranteed sightings of elk, deer and mountain goat crossing the street right in front of you.

These popular places to visit in Canada get a lot of visitors all year round because they are such recreational playgrounds.
