Parking along West 11th Ave.

We plan to visit my wife's sister and husband at the above address. The street is posted "Resident Parking Only.

In March 2010, on the advice of our hosts, parked in front of their house. 15 minutes later the city slapped a $40.00 parking violation ticket on our car.

We are planning to visit again. Are there designated visitor parking on that street or nearby?

I suspect that the violation fee has increased significantly since last year.My inquiry is intended to avoid embarrassing our hosts again, as well as to avoid another parking violation and a possible tow job.

The courtesy of a reply today by e-mail will be appreciated. We leave for Vancouver tomorrow.
Thanks for your anticipated response.
