Vancouver Monk McQueens

Monk Mcqueens is a great place to go for lighthearted, casual seafood dining.

It’s located at the foot of the Cambie Street Bridge on the False Creek side and from here you’ll be looking out and across the water to Yaletown.

Vancouver Monk Mcqueens Restaurant

At Monk Mcqueens there are actually two restaurants to enjoy.

Downstairs at Monks it's oyster heaven ... oysters on the half shell, oyster shooters (oysters in mint lime sugar and rum), pan-fried oysters, oysters with a cheese fondue to name a few [can you say Forrest Gump !]. There’s also lots of other what I call fun food like calamari, crab cakes, prawns and mussels.

Monks is open for lunch and dinner. Bring the kids the restaurant is kid friendly. There’s a kids menu and high chairs and booster seats if you need them.

Upstairs at McQueens is more formal dining but still casual where the menu includes the best of west coast seafood, beef, poultry and pasta.

McQueens is open for dinner and it’s one of the few restaurants that have dinner and dancing with local jazz music on Friday and Saturday nights.

At Monk Mcqueens you can enjoy outdoor dining on the patio at Monks or on the balcony at McQueens and I honestly can’t think of anything more relaxing to do than sitting out on a restaurant patio on a beautiful sunny afternoon enjoying great food and sipping on a tall cool drink with an umbrella in it.

With more than 5,000 places to eat, Vancouver is considered one of the top places on the continent to have a meal out for both variety and quality.

If you're hungry for something other than Casual, here are a few other of Vancouver's best. We've included a list of our favorites (including Monk McQueen's) of Casual, Chinese Food/ Dim Sum, Latin American/Caribbean, French, Indian, Mediterranean, Sushi, Tapas, Thai, Vegetarian, West Coast Casual and if you're into some fine dining, we've listed our own West Coast Fine Dining too...

Bon appetite!
