Miniature Railway

 Miniature Railway Stanley Park

Most of the time the miniature railway at Stanley Park is a kids ride but at certain times of the year it’s more of an adult attraction.

At Halloween the miniature railway becomes a ghost train taking you through the forest into places with spooks and goblins.

And,

Every year at Christmas time the Parks Board and the Vancouver (pronounced "Vancoover") Firefighters burn unit get together and put on Bright Nights in Stanley Park.

They put up lights and create displays ...it’s a magical winter wonderland and the miniature railway becomes a Christmas train.

The seats on the train aren’t all that big and that makes it a kind of cozy and romantic thing to do with someone special (bring along a thermos of hot chocolate).

These seasonal activities are extremely popular events and you can expect to wait in line-ups.

The miniature train is a replica of the first locomotive engine that brought passengers from across the continent into Vancouver.
