The Lumiere is one of the very best and most popular restaurants in Vancouver (pronounced “Vancoover”).

The Lumiere is a chef-owned restaurant and the owner here captured the title of North America Iron Chef 2005.

If you’ve ever watched Iron Chef on television you’ll know it’s the championship wrestling of cooking. The chefs along with their assistants battle for 30 minutes to create and prepare a fabulous gourmet meal and they are judged by celebrity food critics.

Some of the Lumiere’s other awards include Best Restaurant and Best French Restaurant for seven years in a row by Vancouver Magazine and a very distinguished and prestigious honor The Relais Gourmand designation reserved for the best of the best for exceptional passion.

With all the international attention the Lumiere manages to remain an unassuming, comfortable atmosphere and not at all pompous. It’s the perfect place to go for a special night out or after an event for a decadent dessert.

With more than 5,000 places to eat, Vancouver is considered one of the top places on the continent to have a meal out for both variety and quality.
