Havana
Havana is a Nuevo Latino inspired restaurant that’s also an art gallery and a theatre. It's on Commercial Drive which is one of Vancouver's (pronounced "Vancoover") most ethnically diverse neighborhoods. Dining here at Havana is casual and on the menu you will find a good selection of choices in unusual combinations like a sandwich with chorizo sausage, jalapeno and feta all kinds of salads spiced with hints of the Caribbean and other hot weather locations all the way up to entrees like jambalaya or a lamb shank. There’s also an excellent and interesting selection of vegetarian dishes. The art gallery part is at the back of the restaurant and it changes regularly usually on the first Sunday of every month. The art comes from all over it’s both local and international and it’s for sale. The theatre part seats 60 people. You might be able to see a local musical or theatrical group or hear a poetry reading. Havana also sells Cuban cigars so you can buy a cigar and smoke it on the patio. Depending on the weather the patio can be heated or covered so you can sit out there any time of the year. With more than 5,000 places to eat, Vancouver is considered one of the top places on the continent to have a meal out for both variety and quality.
