Check the Greyhound Bus Schedule and Plan Sightseeing Vancouver
When flying doesn't work and driving is not an option you may want to check the greyhound bus schedule. It may not be all that glamorous but on the other hand you may find it a convenient and alternate way to must-see attractions and sight-seeing on your Vancouver vacation.
The best way to check the greyhound schedule is on the internet. Of course you can phone if you want to but I'm warning you it's a confusing and crazy making exercise. You can also purchase your ticket online but if you do that make sure you print out everything and take it with you or you could find yourself without the part you need not to board the bus (I say this from direct second-hand knowledge). The buses are fairly comfortable if you're not traveling too far but I always find them a little on the cool side with all that air conditioning so if you tend to get chilly like me make sure to bring a sweater. Greyhound buses have fairly big windows these days so you try taking some photos along the way. It's quite an art to get a good picture while you're moving. For a lazy daytrip you may just want to pick a nearby Vancouver borough like Horseshoe Bay and take a self-tour of this pleasant little coastal village To see some fantastic scenery without too much fuss some daytrips from Vancouver you may want to try by bus are Vancouver to Whistler Village or Vancouver to Victoria is another good one though this one is a bus and ferry ride. With an early start you can do each of these round-trip in one by it might be more fun to plan an over-night trip and stay at a bed and breakfast in Whistler or Victoria. Once you know the schedule all you need to do is show up at least a half and hour ahead of time to purchase your ticket. Check the greyhound bus schedule here. Greyhound Bus terminal is in a Vancouer heritage building called Pacific Central Station and it's right at the corner of Main Street and Terminal Avenue.
