Granville Island Hotel

I like the Granville Island Hotel because when you're staying there it feels like you're in a quaint small town with lots of arts and crafts and small artist shops all around to stroll into and at the same time I'm in a Vancouver waterfront hotel that is in the center of downtown Vancouver and is close to all the sights to see and we can stroll down to the other end of the island and catch a play or sit and watch the sun go down in English bay after our day of seeing all the attractions in Vancouver.

The rooms are quite clean and the staff have been great through our entire stay from check-in to room service and even check out was nice and they made us feel like family.

And you were so right, Stanley park is one site that simply must be seen it has something for everyone of all ages!

Everyone loved the trip from Granville island to the downtown Vancouver core and then the long stroll along the seawall back to our hotel and got to see the construction going on that they are doing to build the Vancouver Accommodations for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games (Vancouver 2010. We even got to see a movie being filmed in Vancouver but we didn't see any stars :-(

Maybe on our next trip to Vancouver... We'll keep checking for cheap flights to Vancouver as we still have some holiday time left and if we're lucky we can have a second Vancouver vacation holiday in the spring! (depending on if we can find some cheap flights to Vancouver that is!)
