You can catch a ferry to Vancouver from many places along the coast line of the Gulf Islands like Victoria and also including from places in the US like Seattle, Washington.

Victoria to Vancouver

Victoria is great to visit. The Victoria, BC weather is some of the best in the country (they get the most sun year round) and the Victoria BC Tourism Board does a great job of promoting the city still it can’t compare to staying in Vancouver.

But hopping one of the ferries from Vancouver to Victoria for a daytrip (ferry service from Vancouver is very good!) to see the Victoria Inner Harbour, BC Parliament Buildings, Butchart Gardens and of course the Empress Hotel!

Victoria, BC is also known for the Victoria whale watching tours that leave from the Inner Harbour.

Ferries from Seattle to Vancouver

This is a bit of a long way around but instead of driving from Seattle to Vancouver, a ferry might be a great way to begin a romantic Vancouver vacation (or honeymoon) while on the Seattle to Vancouver ferry and if you want to keep sailing after seeing all the sights to see and doing all the things to do but don’t want to take a cruise to Alaska you can also keep sailing on a different route like a:

• ferry from Vancouver, BC to Victoria, BC
• ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo
• ferry from Vancouver to Victoria, BC
