Denman Street
Denman Street is very close to English Bay. It actually runs along English Bay which is a nice area to walk around in. The entire Denman Street is full of life day or night because they have all these little coffee shops. At English Bay you can sit on a log at one of the best places in Vancouver (pronounced “Vancoover”) to watch the sun set because it sets partly on the water and partly on the mountains. While you’re on Denman what I like doing is getting a cup of coffee or say getting a cappuccino or some cotton candy and a milkshake and watching the sun set. Or you can go down there and watch people. It’s a great place to do that there’s lots of pedestrian traffic. There’s some great little shops there all along Denman and the English Bay area that you can go in and buy sunglasses or tee shirts with "I was in English Bay" or "I was in Vancouver" on them. And they’re also places to rent bikes or roller blades and go around the seawall at Stanley Park. Denman and the English Bay area are one of the older parts of the city and right across the water from it you can see Spanish Banks and Locarno Beach as well as the University of British Columbia Endowment Lands which is also very beautiful. If you enjoy large crowds Denman Street and English Bay is the place to be right around the Canada Day (July 1st) long weekend. That’s when the Vancouver Celebration of Light fireworks display usually starts. ...Return often for more exciting information on many more of Vancouver's best things to do, sights to see and local attractions.
