Cafes Vancouver Style

When it comes to cafes Vancouver must be the world center for sitting in a coffee shop and enjoying a nice hot latte or other coffee drink!

You’ll notice that every morning hundreds of people will be walking as if on “auto-pilot” into their favourite coffee shop in Vancouver with one eye open.

They'll  then walk out shortly after with both eyes wide open and a smile on their face as they hold their hot coffee in one hand and a cell phone in the other and start their daily work routine.

When it comes to cafes, Vancouver is known (only partially jokingly) for having coffee shops and cafes on every corner! For the most part, it’s pretty close to true and no matter if you are from Vancouver or just here for a vacation you’ll always be able to strike up a conversation with a stranger!

When you find a café you like and have been there a few times, the staff will know your name and your specific drink… Kind of like the TV show “Cheers” where everyone knows your name! (or your drink at least).

Now that isn’t all you’ll find in a café around Vancouver. You’ll see that many people meet and have business meetings in these cafes and it looks more like a cocktail hour meeting as they discuss business right next to the Vancouver college student working on homework and of course there’ll be visitors to the city who’ve just taken a long walk around and seen some of the sights to see, or maybe just strolled along the seawall in Stanley Park!

There are many cafes to choose from around the city.

Depending on where you are during your sight seeing in Vancouver, there is a shop nearby with a view.

English Bay is a great example, you can sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy the panoramic view of the beach.

Another place to go is Granville Island where you can do some of your gift shopping in Vancouver and watch the world go by as you take in a nice sip of your latte as people go about their daily routines.

It's true that we are a cafe culture but what better way to enjoy your life of cafe Vancouver style?
